I started off being a volunteer back in 2010 when I was a sophomore in high school. I used to go to Taft. It was required to get Community service hours. Therefore one day my mother came into this place and asked if I could help out. That’s how I got started with TLC First Animal Hospital. At first I was hasten of coming here, but since I love animals I knew I would do fine. The things I used to help out with were taking dogs on walks and making sure the clinic was clean. I really liked being here. The staff was nice and they all treated me like family. After a while of doing my job the manager boss liked me and hired me. Now as an employee I also work in the reception area. I get charts ready for upcoming appointments, check the charts afterward to make sure all the information is recorded correctly in the file and in the computer, and then file them away. I also answer the phones if it gets too busy up in front.
I have a 10 years old golden retriever/white terrier mix named Max. He is my world. Even at his age he doesn’t let anyone know he’s getting old. He still acts like a crazy little dog. Now I currently go to Northeastern Illinois University. I am a Psychology major. Even though I love animals, I also love helping people, especially kids. Kids to me are just another great thing. Next December I will be graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in child Psychology. I hope to become a Child Psychologist one day. Psychology in general is my favorite I loved it ever since I started high school. It makes me want to learn more each day it’s just so interesting.
On my spear time off when I’m not working or going to school and studying I love to take walks, bike ride, swim, and hangout with my friends and boyfriend. Well that’s all about me for now. I am happy to be a part of the TLC staff. They are all so caring and wonderful to work with.
