I have lived in Chicago all of my life. My grandparents took care of my sister and I after school during the lovely Chicago summers. My grandparents’ back yard is where my passion for animals blossomed. There, I used to play with all of the insects that I found hidden under logs and, fed the neighborhood cats, squirrels and birds. No animal was without some kind of love near our yard. My grandfather always taught me to be very kind to animals, and that they are just like us, and that they were only multi-legged, furry, or whatever.
Roxy was his baby girl, she was a shepherd mix we found as a stray, He would dance with her, sing to her you name it, seeing him interact with animals was one of my greatest joys! Therefore, here I am today! I have been in the animal field for about three years now. I began working at my first clinic beginning as a receptionist and went on to cross training for assistant work. That is where I fell in love and went on to get a little more experience, I have also worked at O’Hare caring for pets from all around the world, from your average house pet, to zoo animals. I even, work at a doggy day care, then back to assisting in the veterinary field with three amazing doctors and, I must say that I love walking into work today as much as I did on my first interview here.
My animal crew and I are here to stay. So, greetings from my 5 pups 3 snakes 2 turtles and my 1 hen and gecko.
