Chicago veterinary services – delivered with courtesy and respect!
TLC First Animal Hospital is an inviting and comfortable environment. We want your visit with us to be the best veterinary experience you’ve ever had! We’re all animal lovers here and we work hard to create a warm, inviting, and comfortable environment for you and your pet(s). You can always expect our full attention to your pet’s needs.
When you arrive for your appointment, you will check in at our front desk, where you’ll be greeted by one of our friendly and courteous receptionists.
One of our veterinary technicians will meet you in the lobby and you will proceed to an examination room where they will begin to gather information for the doctor. They will start by asking about your pet’s medical history, current condition, and the reason for your visit.
One of our veterinarians will then come in to examine your pet, spend some time talking with you to address your concerns, and may recommend a diagnostic and/or a treatment plan if warranted. Our veterinary technician and/or assistant will aid the doctor during the examination; the technician/assistant will run any in-house test or diagnostics as ordered by the doctor.
This is a great time to ask questions. Our veterinary team wants to make sure you’re completely comfortable with the information we’re providing.
Our veterinary technician and/or assistant will likely come back to wrap things up and will provide you with helpful pet care information, answer any wellness and care questions you may have, and give you any medications or products if needed. Our front desk staff will process your payment and schedule any needed follow-up appointments.
Please note: Our goal is to see all our clients and patients on schedule. There may be the occasional unexpected delay due to an emergency or because we are providing care for a patient that needs a little more time. Please accept our apologies should this occur and understand that the same dedication and courtesy will be provided to your pet should they ever need it. We will ensure these delays are minimized as much as possible.
We are excited to meet you and your pets!
Keeping our staff, patients, and clients safe is our FIRST priority.
